70 Years of Warm Welcomes...

First established in 1954 the Santon Bridge Gift Shop supplied the local community and the visitors at that time with a range of local products and hot drinks sold from a flask. Set in such a peaceful location, surrounded by wildlife, and situated at the foot of the Wasdale valley, the gift shop has been extended over the years to include a tearoom and a dog friendly space for people to sit and enjoy a variety of home-made dishes served from breakfast through to early evening.

Having bought the business in 2023 we are focused on showcasing the best that Cumbria has to offer with locally sourced food and drink, and a gift shop full of items from talented producers and small business providers from across Cumbria.

Our vision is to be thoughtful in our choices, concerned for the environment and to support the local economy by sourcing from local suppliers as much as we can.

We love what we do here at Stanton Bridge and we feel that comes through in the experiences we provide to our customers.
